what Destiny ....what Choice....??

YOU didnt choose your birthday ..,your parents .., your nationality ., your language..,your gender.., your color.., your day of death..

BUT you have the ability to coose your actions..

you could perform certain action with your hands or your legs or your eyes , and so on..every part of your body has the power to do something ..some action .

the power of choice which you have been gifted to form your behaviour ,it is implied that you are free.

MAN IS FREE...nothing external is pushing him to do things in certain way , except his own choice _ his own iraadah.

but our destiny is written ..i mean ..ALLAH has the knowledge of every thing ..every action has been done or will be done..He knows that ''Jack'' will get marrired on saterday ...'Omar'' will be killed in that place.. ''laura'' will get good position ..in that company..ALLAH KNOWS EVERY THING...

and every thing is written..but one question will be raised in our mind ..if GOD has written for me , say , that i will be killer..then why does He punish me??

mm ..that a puzzeling question..but you must know that theres adifference between ''choice'' and 'knowledge''

CHOICE .means..that you have varity of options in front of you and you have the ability to choose whatever option which is suitable for your attitudes and perceptions..

KNOWLEDGE means that ALLAH knows before the creatures..which choice we have choosen or will choose...

if we r forced to do things ..then why ALLAH orderd us to do or not to do..the idea of ''the order'' means you have ability to ''do or not to do'' you are free in act

“Allah has willed that you act based on choice. We are held responsible for choosing an act but not for creating the act itself. In other words, Allah creates the act and by our choosing it, we “acquire” it and are thereby held responsible for it. Thus, human actions are created by Allah but performed by us..

that was the definition of ''the destiny'' in islam..

and the evidence comes from QURAAN as ALLAH sayes..

about His knowledge...;

... it is He who created all things, and ordered (qadara) them in due proportions.

Surah 25 Verse 2

.

... With God is the Decision, in the past and in the Future...

Surah 30 Verse 4

... it is He who created all things, and ordered (qadara) them in due proportions.

Surah 25 Verse 2

God! There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).

Surah 2 Verse 255

and what about man's ability and choice.

ALLAH sayes ...............

That man can have nothing but what he strives for;

Surah 53 Verse 39

... Verily never will God change the condition of a people until they change it themselves (with their own souls). ...

Surah 13 Verse 11

Say: "With God is the argument that reaches home: if it had been His will, He could indeed have guided you all."

Surah 6 Verse 149

Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it!
And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it.

Surah 99 Verses 7 - 8

From an Islamic point of view, Man is free for all practical purposes. He/she has no excuse for making the wrong choice and then blaming qadar or fate, any more than a man punching his fist into a wall can blame the laws of nature. He knew the consequences of his actions for all practical purposes and he shouldn't expect a miracle!

The foregoing means, that we should not worry about what God has written for us, since we can never know it; but our duty, here and now, is to strive for the best in this world and the next. Then, good results will follow, insha’Allah.

what Destiny ....what Choice....??

Thus, human actions are created by Allah but performed by us..

that was the definition of ''the destiny'' in islam..

and the evidence comes from QURAAN as ALLAH sayes..

about His knowledge...;

... it is He who created all things, and ordered (qadara) them in due proportions.

That man can have nothing but what he strives for;

Arabic Writing and Calligraphy

Arabic Writing and Calligraphy

Arabic Writing and Calligraphy

"Calligraphy" means "beautiful writing" (or writing as a form of art). During the Middle Ages, the Muslims respected calligraphy as the highest art form because the Qur'an was written in Arabic and it represented the word of God. So calligraphy decorated the mosques and holy books of Islam. Writing was not only an artistic expression, it was a religious expression as well.

Over the centuries Arabic calligraphy expanded to include different styles of writing. Just like in English where there are many kinds of handwriting (printing, cursive, and even "graffiti style" writing), many respected writing styles in Arabic developed.

Calligraphy Was Used to Decorate Architecture

To them, portraying people was considered something like making of idols. Muslim traditions did not allow for painting or sculpture (making of statues) to decorate mosques. Statues, especially, reminded them of the Greek and Roman statues showing naked gods and goddesses! According to one Hadith (saying of the Prophet): "Angels do not enter the house in which there are portrayals or pictures." So never would there be paintings or statues of people in a mosque!

Calligraphy in Decorating the Qur'an, other books, and everyday objects

Plate showing Kufi script A copy of the Qur'an

An illuminated page of the Qur'an

This book shown above is an "illuminated manuscript" because there is gold in the paint and is very shiny.

Even everyday objects are often decorated with quotations from the Qur'an, popular poetry, and even sayings to bring good luck. (IslamicArt) Click on each picture to get an enlargement.

Calligraphy is even sold today over the internet! See how much one of these examples costs!

Beautiful old age

It ought to be lovely to be old

to be full of the peace that comes of experience

and wonderful ripe fulfilment.

The wrinkled smile of completeness that follows a life.

lived undaunted and unsoured with accepted lies.

If people lived without accepting lies

they would ripen like apples , and be scented like pippins

in their old age.

Soothing , old people should be ,like apples

when one is tired of love.

Fragrant like yellowing leaves , and dim with the soft

stillness and satisfaction of autumn.

And a girl should say,

It must be wounderful to live and grow old.

Look at my mother , how rich and still she is ! -

And a young man should think : By Jove

my father has faced all weathers , but it's been a life ! -

                                          D H LAWRENCE

FROM YOUR OBSERVATION DO YOU THINK IT MUST BE WONDERFUL TO GROW OLD?
