‘Oh the roses are so lovely – thank you so much my dear, but why fifteen?’ the girl asks. ‘Huh? Hmm – well I just thought the bouquet looked nice with fifteen.’

You may not know it but the number and colour of the roses you send has meaning. Do you know that 11 roses says you are my special one - the one I love most in my life, but 15 roses says I am very sorry, please forgive me. Did that boy know he was apologising for something when he sent his loved one fifteen? His message of love for his girlfriend became a message saying sorry.

So, before you send someone special a bouquet of roses make sure you know the message you are sending.

Meaning of the Colour

Red - passion, also true love and respect: says I love you.

Pink - the rose of beautiful thoughts, and saying thank you.

Yellow - show your friendship by sending these to put a smile in someone’s day.

White - pure love: used as the traditional flower during weddings to show happy love.
 
Purple - to send the message of your love at first sight with special someone.
 
Orange - an excellent choice for a new relationship or business partnership that you wish to continue.
