Hey friends. Have you ever experienced conservatism? Well, I belong to a conservative muslim family and have experienced sheer conservatism. No girl friends, no music (but I listen to music) etc etc.
Ours is a nuclear family. Yesterday it happened so that me, my dad and mom were sitting together and chatting about something. Suddenly dad took up the matter of my marriage (lol...maybe only in joke coz i'm just 16 and the minimum age for marriage here is 21). But the matter really took serious turn when I told parents that I'd marry a girl of my choice. They argued that in our society people marry only those whom their parents choose. I'm very liberal as compared to my parents so I said that they take most of the decisions of me but marriage is absolutely different and very important. So I should be free to choose. Since they denied clear I got into a rage (I'm very short tempered at times, but I don't know why I got angry at that time...a whim perhaps). So I cried out I don't agree with them.
But I couldn't even imagine that the matter can get that grave. My mom suggested that this is the effect of internet. My dad opined that I've got a real gf. So unanimously it was decided that my computer and internet connection would be disconnected for good. And I'd not be given any pocket money lest I should go to net cafe. And to add salt to this injury they decided to take away my mobile as well. I'm DISCONNECTED from the world now....for sine die.
I'm posting this post after a lot of troubles. This well might be my last post on e baby for unknown time..... May God help in dispelling this conservatism....sigh.
