Have You Ever Seen
by Anonymous

Have you ever seen a sheet on a river bed?
Or a single hair from a hammer's head?
Has the foot of a mountain any toes?
And is there a pair of garden hose?

Does the needle ever wink its eye?
Why doesn't the wing of a building fly?
Can you tickle the ribs of a parasol?
Or open the trunk of a tree at all?

Are the teeth of a rake ever going to bite?
Have the hands of a clock any left or right?
Can the garden plot be deep and dark?
And what is the sound of the birch's bark?

a river bed - the bottom of a river, where the ground is

a hammer -  a tool used for hitting things or forcing nails into wood that consists of a handle and a heavy metal top with one flat side

foot of a mountain -  the lower part of something; base; bottom

hose  - old-fashioned socks, stockings, and tights

needle eye - the hole at the top of a needle

a wing of the building - a part of a building that sticks out from the main part, especially one with a particular purpose

trunk -  boot of car

We can't immagine spring without flowers and beautiful ladies.I hope this piece of art by Frederic John Lloyd Strevens ,a British artist, give us a chance to enjoy spring beauty!

A Dream Girl
By
Carl Sandburg
You will come one day in a waver of love,
Tender as dew, impetuous as rain,
The tan of the sun will be on your skin,
The purr of the breeze in your murmuring speech,
You will pose with a hill-flower grace.

You will come, with your slim, expressive arms,
A poise of the head no sculptor has caught
And nuances spoken with shoulder and neck,
Your face in pass-and-repass of moods
As many as skies in delicate change
Of cloud and blue and flimmering sun.

Yet,
You may not come, O girl of a dream,
We may but pass as the world goes by
And take from a look of eyes into eyes,
A film of hope and a memoried day.

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare?
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep and cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty’s glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

Renaissance  is the period of great cultural change and achievement that began in Italy during the 14th century and lasted until the 16th century, the period of transition from the Medieval  to the modern world in Western Europe.
Renaissance art is considered a "rebirth" of ancient traditions, took as its foundation the art of Classical antiquity, but transformed according to the outlook of new generation. Renaissance art, with Renaissance Humanist philosophy, spread throughout Europe, affecting both artists and their patrons with the development of new techniques and new artistic sensibilities.
The most famous its representatives are Sandro Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Titian. Their masterpieces are impressed modern people greatly nowadays.
I can’t forget the day when I met Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci in Louvre. A great crowd was around Her. And each of us tried to understand the mysterious attraction of this work of art.
