How that Barack Obama is officially the new president, I wonder if it's going to change the attitude many people have toward the United States.  I have talked with some of my friends in other countries and they all say they are hopeful that Obama will change the direction of our country and the world.

For a long time opinions of the United States have been very bad around the world. We have broken a lot of treaties with other countries, started a war based on a lie and have not maintained a friendly dialogue.

I know it's probably unrealistic to expect that all our problems will be solved with a new president. But, I wonder if people in other countries will change their outlook on the U.S. simply because we have a leader who wants to engage with them.

What do you think? I'm curious to hear what people's opinions are. Has your attitude changed with the new president? What kinds of things would you like to see the U.S. doing to improve relations with other countries.

dear mr.capitainjeff

in my eyes in order  to construct a better world it is essential that mass media the authorities and general public adopt an intractive approach and participate actively in resolving such issues... we have to try BE HOnest, specially goverments

we have to try build a world based on peace,,

why the goverment of usa wants to surround countries like iraq .

poor iranians :(  they are restrected by usa's goverment

i hope one day every thing will become well.

I think we should build a harmonious world together .We should use negotiations to solve problems instead of forces.

First, nice to meet u!!!

Well, I'm from Brazil and we really like Obama...He doesn't seem to be a threat like Bush...I like him!

He appears to be engaged in other things besides war, don't u think?

I don't have a lot to say about it because I'm not very worried with politics, you know...I 've to decide what I'm gonna do after high school...

I hope that Obama be a good president, and a peaceful one...kkkk

Captain Jeff, could u add me???Plzzz...

Bye

One thing I learned in China.  If you see food and it's on a stick, eat it. Chances are it's delicious. It might be a beetle or a scorpion, but that's pretty rare.  I had some food yesterday that was absolutely scrumptuous cooked by a friendly lady in an alley near Tianamen Square.  Stick food. It's the future.

If I could see you on Tiananmen,it would be a wonderful thing. I like the kind of food what you called food on sticks. It is realy delicious. In China there are diferent typical local tidbits. Even me ,as a chinese , I could not eat all.Smile

At the Temple of Heaven we challenged a group of Aussies to a game of street badminton.  After taking a commanding 4-1 lead, those roo eaters came back to steal the victory. Ah well. Silver aint so bad I guess. It was all good fun and the chinese spectators loved it.
