Food on sticks
One thing I learned in China. If you see food and it's on a stick, eat it. Chances are it's delicious. It might be a beetle or a scorpion, but that's pretty rare. I had some food yesterday that was absolutely scrumptuous cooked by a friendly lady in an alley near Tianamen Square. Stick food. It's the future.

Ah well. Silver aint so bad I guess. It was all good fun and the chinese spectators loved it.

Street Performer
Jason challenged a performer named "Metal Ball Superman" to a contest in which you have to spin heavy medal balls in your hand. Despite a great effort Jason came away with the silver. Good job Jason. Bring home the medals for Ebaby!

Bike of Fury
I challenged John and Jason to an exciting bike race around the narrow alleyways and streets of the hutong. It was an exciting race. Jason weaved in and out of doorways, did some jumps. They were neck in neck for awhile, but John pulled ahead in the end and won the race.

Cpt. Jeff's Arrival

Captain Jeff here from the heart of red China. We arrived at 17:00 last night at Beijing International and barely made it through the security at the airport. The people here have been quite friendly addressing me as "Hello Captain" "Ni-hao capt." or "Hi there Mr. Captain." We had a hearty of meal of dumplings, rice and some spicy fungus. After 2 large Yangjing beers I told the boys to "give 'er a rest" so they'd be frosty for the Hutong Bike Relay the next morning. On our way back to our sleeping quarters we set out to make friends with the locals. Always good to make a few contacts. You never know when you'll need valuable intel down the road.

Click here to view more photos of our first day in Beijing.

4 Weeks Away

We're 4 weeks away from going to Beijing with the Ebaby! crew and I'm getting excited. I have been to Hong Kong, but never mainland China. I have no idea what to expect. I'm sure it's going to be very hot, so don't be surprised if you see Captain Jeff sweating profusely trying to by a mini fan he can attach to his captain's hat.

Wanna be friends with the Captain?

Hello Ebabyers!

This is the captain speaking. Sorry if I'm a little brief, but I am getting over the afterglow of fine Cazadores I had last night at the Bristle & Bucket. What a night. I met a young lass who just had her heart broken. I had to console her with a few fine words and a dance.

I appreciate all the friend requests I've been getting. I hope to be friends with each and every one of you.

- The Captain
