One day, when I was climbing a high mountain, I saw a blind man with a stick in his hand walking toward us slowly. I was puzzled, what he could see on such a high mountain? Splendid clouds or fragrant flowers? Didn’t he is wasting his energy?

My teacher smiled when I told him this story, he said: "Now, let me tell you another story. A respectable teacher of mine finished his book on aesthetics when he was in prison. Apparently, there was no beautiful scenery, even no freedom. So you know, mouth, nose, ears, hands and feet are extremely enough for a sensible blind man to feel the beauty in the world. Even if one day you lose all of them, don't forget you still possess your own heart. When beauty is in your heart, something else is useless."

That was the most beautiful lesson I have ever learned.

Hi, chamo41.

What happens if the beauty in your heart is he only beauty left in the world? What if the world becomes insensitive for this beauty sometime in the future? Can we go on believing in the beauty on our own or do we have to make compromises, spoiling the true beauty? Is only the beauty in the hearts of other people beautiful? Is our own beauty of the heart valueable enough to be beautiful? How do I share the beauty in my heart or become aware of the beauty within other people’s hearts? It seems I’ve got a lot to learn…

Cheers, Ixion
