Recently, I have heard many stories about the people around me who got fired. I feel vey sorry for their misfortune.

One of them is about my ex-roommate. She is a girl that I admire very much. Her parents got divorced and they didn't take care of their kids well. She has made a living alone since she was in junior high school. During the school days in college, she even worked in the daytime and attended school at night. She studied very hard and got good grades.

Few days ago, she called me, telling me she was fired. I feel sad for her but it's too bad that there is nothing I can help her. I only encouraged her not to give up and tried harder. And then the chance will come.

She doesn't like the people in Taipei much but still decides to stay there longer because she has some relatives there. She said that she'd like to continue working in business field, but recently, it's difficult to find one because of the poor economy.

I was told that currently more people are forced to take unpaid holidays. I don't know how long they can survive in the situation. May god bless the jobless.

This is just an ordinary day for me and nothing happens I woke up early this morning and wash up my face then I brush my teeth and after that I sip a hot coffee while sitting on the table and looking at the people walking by along the street few minutes later I reminisce all the wonderful things happens to me and also the saddest thing in my life and I found out that I need to look back from the past and learn from it today. If I could turn back the time, They would be proud of me. Now I am starting all over again from the time when all my hope has gone yes I admit I cried indeed to lessen all the pains that I felt.

昨天语文老师把我们班数落的啊- -都抬不起头做人了........................说的我们都觉得我们活着纯粹是浪费国家粮食- -让我们瞬间有了想自杀的冲动- -他还说我们这个月将是最累的一个月- -昨天还没感觉出来，今天就有了想爬行的冲动，实在是走不动了- -累啊~~~~累啊~~~他还美名其曰要给我们指一条明路：出国，然后说我们出国也得闹着回来，因为到那里不会说英语，不能糊口- -唉，本来以为还有条明路的，听完了就瞬间崩溃.....................唉，再熬六个月，就彻底解放了，就再也不用上高三了..........

The similarities between China and Japan:

*The staple food of China and Japan is rice.

*We use chopstick when we eat.

*Appearance, for example, faces (most of us have yellow color skins and black (dark brown) eyes) and colors of hair (we have the black hairs.)

*There are China and Japan in Asia.

*We use Kanji

*Most of Chinese and Japanese students wear the school uniform.

*Most of us love Chinese food.

The differences between China and Japan:

*When we write words, Chinese use Kanji only, but Japanese use Kanji, Hiragana, and Katakana.

*Languages that we speak (Chinese (people) that live in China speak Chinese, and Japanese (people) that live in Japan speak Japanese.)

*In China, people enter the house with their shoes on, but in Japan, people take off their shoes when they enter the house.

*China has a lot of great histories. Although Japan has great histories, they are not very old.

*Number of population and size of countries (There are a lot of people in China, and China is huge country. But Japanese population is few, and Japan is very small country.)

All us students are up in arms at the news the school is raising our tuition ten percent.

No way am i going to vote for a bill to raise income tax again.The voters back home are already up in arms about how much the government takes out of their pay already and i have to run for re-election this fall.

We are up in arms about his wife's public affairs with another man,that's disgusting.

All the people are up in arms for the serious traffic situation,it could not even move an inch when people are on the way to office in the morning.

Hundreds of angry taxi drivers went on strike Monday to protest high operating costs, low taxi fares, heavy traffic fines, fuel shortages and other problems. The protest turned violent as strikers attacked drivers who refused to join in.

The official Xinhua news agency said at least 20 vehicles were damaged, including some police cars. But there were no reports of injuries or arrests. Xinhua says about 800 drivers have returned to work after talking with officials on Monday.

China says,food inspectors in a northern province have found dangerous sustances in soy sauce and coffee imported from Japan.The Guangdong inspections and quarantine Bureau said on its web site today(Tuesday) that its inspectors in the city of Tianjin discovered that Japanese soy sauce contained arsenic levels five times higher than permitted.
