 Water-melon and Yalda

Last night all Iranians celebrated Yalda (longest night in this country and all countries in north part of earth) and spent the night with their family members and friends.

We usually eat alot of things at this night (last fall's night) especially candy and water-melon!

Do you know why we eat water-melon at this night?

It's because water-melon is a symbol for summer and now we want to say good-bye to it.

Today,it's first of winter in north of earth and first of summer in south part of earth.
