A man sold his 9-month son to raise money to pay off a debt for his new lover at Peixian county in Jiangsu province.
LiuCheng,35,a father of two children,met a waitress in a restaurant in Peixian earlier this year and fell in love with her.Liu divorced his wife in March in the hope of living with his new lover,whose real name he didn't even know.
To help the new lover pay off a debt,Liu sold his 9-month-old son for 40,000 yuan to a human trafficker in september.
Liu's ex-wife called police after learning of this and police arrested Liu and the trafficker in mik-October.
Meanwhile,Liu's new lover has disappeared.
