Sometimes ignorance is good, it gives you lot more confidence than knowing ... If I know I am speaking to the world top public speakers, would I ever speak in front of them?!

But if I don't know I will speak with them like children speak with one another. :-))

Sometimes during public meeting when someone tells me, "Do you know about that persons, they are this and that" ... I usually respond, "please don't tell me this and that; for I know who are them, they are chaps like me" :-)

Sometimes, I think wild animals are wild because they know our perception about them is wild, I feel, if wild animals know that we are having different perception for them; they will treat us differently.

What do you think?

Dear Tamador,

I like this proverb very much; I don't know (gives the rest) :-))

Dear Criz, that's more rewarding to stay calm to critics, it adds up more to learning. I like when someone comes up with blunt opinion about me.

if I were you, I wouldn't give a direct respond, sometimes wild animal also needs some respect, of course what I mean is not giving some seasoning for what are they up to, but simply say '' emm... err... yes... alright '' and change the topic into something else. I'm sure wild animal will feel uncomfortable because the conversation has turned monologue, next time they won't come to you and spread some symptoms so errrr....... your nose stays clean. :D

Dear saladeen , i agree that ignorance becomes blessing when someone don't care of knowledge therefore he/she/it happy for that , knowledge sometimes is a source of bothering as popular arabic proverb says "saying (i don't know) gives the rest"Smile

;)) Gem (Crystal) , you are giving me good humor at hand:

"sometimes it's good to act cool to keep our nose clean."

Hey Sista, I'm not that much cool to keep someone nose clean ... ;-))

Handkerchief can does better - but tissue papers are in ;-))

Sometimes that's good to give permission, what do you think?! ;)

Thank you for meaningful blog, you always write very good stuff to discuss. People who keep nosing around always busy about other people's bussiness, sometimes it's good to act cool to keep our nose clean. No one is  given permission to judge anyone Cool

Dear Tamador, I agree with Zubair, ignorance here means indifference and negligence to ground realities and to procrastinate where activity is required.

Every person who utters something is clearer to him than to anybody else. Sometimes language fascinates me for having limitless complex layers of meaning which allow us to communicate on a much higher level.

On the other hand, animals do also have language systems, most species seem to have some form of basic language. Some animals use isomorphic language; this means that each sound they make has only one meaning. To the contrary human being speculates on different meaning of same word and that’s why we human beings have rich imaginations and creativity.

When I started this topic I was having no idea on what it would be concluded, neither had I in my mind the proceedings but due to our ability to explore the different layers of the word ‘ignorance’ we come up with different interpretations.

Thank you, and have a great weekend!

Wish you the best!

Thank you Julie for summarizing whole discussion; I just want to add few more points to make my topic more vivid:

New strategies demands demolishing of establish thinking; for establish thinking is no more effective because of rapid changes in the whole *equation, and to cope with changing canvas demands constant learning and relearning. As Heraclitus suggests  "you can't step in the same river twice."

Every thinking pattern has some limits, and after reaching the saturation point any further pushing is as futile and painful activity as playing boxing with concrete wall, hence there we need new thinking paradigm which can only be created with fresh and empty mind.

To summarize my whole topic I have to borrow Einstein words, "You can't solve a problem with the same mind that created it."

.........................

*equation = it can be regarding anything: politics, workplace, home, education, research, and so on and on.

in this regard I support kokoboko's opinion. It depends. As always in our life, everything depends. To "write" on a blank page or start with the second opinion (but in this case have some information so that be more or less prepared) works different case to case but I agree that after you have that second opinion your way of thinking and perceiving of the surrounding is dependant and you behave accordingly.

As to wild animals and human beings including ( as far as we are animals too) they live in accordance with laws of Nature and as far as people are different, like one smarter than another one, the same animals - smarter than the other or stronger than the other :)

Dear Irene, thank you for your valuable views on this subject.

I do agree, life is the best teacher! I always invest more on people, and keep my options always open for them (in most of the cases), with little care and patience one can reveal the best in anyone.

I agree animals work within specific mechanism, and they never rebel against their nature. While human being is rebellious because of thinking and imagination.  :)

Have a smiling day!

Ignorance is good when we are in a new company of people. We don't know anything about them. All of us are like a new page. We begin to read the page receiving new knowledge and becoming  wiser or sillier, if somebody is trying to make a fool of us.
So it's sometimes useful to know some information about people we have deal with. We shouldn't, of course, believe  every word said,  but as life shows it works. I can listen an oppinion of a person about another one,  but I always think if accept it or not, as we can find out a person at the end.
As for wild animals, I guess, they know how to treat us, people, from their first breath. We are born to be different. Wild animals can get a habbit to live with people, but they will always want to be free and always know the differnece between us. By the way, even among animals there are respectable or ignorant ones. How do they know who is on the top level? Do they ask each other about themselves? No, never. But, they live with some special laws and watch each other defining which of them is a king.
Thank you for the wonderful topic, dear Saladeen. You always make me think hard.:)

@Julie3, thank you dear for adding precious views on this topic:

It is not about knowing truth or lie, it is about not buying any second rate perception before first hand actual interaction. Truth is rather conviction and so are lies.

Why should one buy second rate opinion of someone or something before direct interaction?

.....................................

Actually I wanted to mix second rate perception of 'Do you know about that person?' with 'Wild animals'.

Let's take it other way:

You are going to attend important meeting with some important person, and before going you are also making your imagination about that person, based on second rate opinion of others, will it help you to understand that person better? or going with blank mind will do better?

Thank you Dear Mojgan.

Thank you Dear Tamador.

I agree with Mutanabi's quote, "The wise suffer in the blessing of knowledge; the ignorant are at ease in their misery."

But I feel the word 'ignorant' varies from instance to instance. Sometimes ignorance is blessing and some other times knowledge misleads ...
