Some time ago I was wondering about when I could have the chance to travel to the jungle region of my country. And this year, as part of a work that I was assigned, I had the opportunity to finally go there.
It was a short visit so I tried to seize every moment during my stay.
The first thing that got my attention was all the greenery around; I could see mountains full of green, palm trees, and different plants with big leaves.

The second thing was the weather; when you least expect it it starts raining. For some people that was annoying, but for me, that I don’t see the rain so often where I live, that was quite an experience. The heavy rains happen during the "winter season" which it’s not cold, but rainy, and the sun appears after the rain is gone.

Going away from the urban zone, one can see the native communities located around. Each native community has its own language and culture. Some communities are kind of easy to access, but for some others one can get there only by walking for some hours.

That short visit helped me to understand a little more about the diversity that surround us and that’s what keeps me curious and eager to know different places. Now I’d like to see the deep side of the jungle that it’s farther away, but hopefully that will be my next journey. :)
