Well, I have learnt English since I was three. Yeah, 12 years. But now I still cannot speak English fluently. It's because of many reasons.

When I was young my dad first taught me new words : they were vocabularies about toys and food. At that time, I felt really excited and I concentrated a lot on my lessons. He told me to listen to cartoon in English like Disney Films, and it was just beginner's lesson. Things went better and better until I got third rate when I participated in the contest which was the entrance for me to go to the best elementary school in the district. I think English has become a part of my life since that moment.

In the following years in primary school, i learnt a lot of new words and some basic structures like Whats ur name? How r u? . And because we were young , so our teacher usually hold games. I miss those seconds a lot. I found it happy to learn English though my teachers were not native speakers. I feel proud of me becuz I can spell quite well English words. Maybe i dont know how to say the word correctly but i can easily correct myself if Im wrong. I imagine a lot of things such as being a professor, an English teacher....And I think someday I'll be talking just like a native speaker.

But when I went to secondary school where Im studying now, everything changed. There are no games, no fun, no happiness, nothing. I agree that I must go to the higher education background but there must be passion. Tell you what, all that I learn in school is English grammar. It's not bad, but it's really boring. Everyday I go to school, I think a long boring day will be starting again. I dont speak anymore. I dont know how to speak, where to start a conversation. That's a shame when I see others can talk with each other fluently. I wanna be good like them. But there's no environment. Maybe I do exercises well, reading well (reading depends on your awareness of vocabulary, phrasal verb, idiom...). But I speak and listen badly. I feel exhausted when I have to face to a lot of homework, words and words. I wonder why? Why do I feel so bad? How can I learn English. A native speaker can speak when he was three already. Why cant I speak though I’ve learnt for 12 years? I know those questions are also others’. And I’m finding the answer. I must find my own environment.

And I made up my mind to wander around chatting websites. I have visited a lot: Omegle, EnglishClub, … and some English test stores. The first time I felt very shy. But I enjoy talking day by day. And now I think im more independent and confident than before. And one day, I heard about English baby! . Well this is a good website. Everybody learns and teaches each other. Im happy about that. I feel that finally I have found the best place for me. Well this is not an advertisement. This is just what I feel and what I want to share to you guys.

I said I have progressed. But just in chatting not speaking, because people who are as my age seldom enjoy these websites, so Im on here, write this blog so as others can read this and share this with me. And if you want to be my friend, then welcome. I want as many friends as possible. Im shy so I hope you will help me, be my instructor as well as friend. I use Skype, Facebook and Yahoo. I would be glad if you add me and talk with me whenever you want.

Im a dreaming girl. I think I will be successful one day. I do believe. And maybe at that time, I’ll go all around the world and meet you guys. Thanks for spending time reading this.

I see. There are many differences. Vietnamese is hard for foreigners. I can see that becuz many foreigners get problems with pronunciation. About English, I don't think it's hard, just becuz Im shy and it is so intensive.^^

I don't know. I think there are many differences in the sounds made in English and the sounds made in Vietnamese. Maybe that has something to do with it. I ate at a Vietnamese restaurant last week and noticed how different the language sounded.
