Hey Everyone, I'm an English teacher in Japan. I'm always looking for the latest ESL stuff on the web, and that's how I found my way here.

For my survey I asked people about their English classes. I got 44 responses to my question, and people had many different opinions. Some people said they liked all of their classes, however, some people said they didn’t. One woman said all of her classes are boring, so she studies on her own. Another person from Thailand said that all of his English classes are bad, except those taught a teacher named “Steve.” But many people wrote that they enjoy their classes.
Although people gave many different answers, I found three main reasons why people enjoy their classes. The first is the teacher. Twelve of the 44 people said that they liked a class because of the teacher. The second thing was the class atmosphere. Twenty-one people said they liked a class because it was “fun” or “interesting.” The most common reason given was the content or subject of the class. Twenty-seven people wrote that they liked the class because the subject was “interesting” or “useful.” Often this subject was not English, but some other topic. So the best English class is one with a useful subject, fun atmosphere, and a friendly teacher.
Thanks for participating in my survey. It was fun to read your responses, and I hope you are interested in the results.

I do some hiking, kayaking, outdoor sports. I like working out and motorcycle riding, too. I like to cook, eat, and drink, and I spend too much time fooling around on the internet and reading about politics.
