open your eyes so that you may see:
see when you're gone that we're never free,
see how each day our hearts fill with dread,
see what you've done despite what we've said.
open your ears so that you may hear,
Hear what it sounds like to be sincere,
Hear all who love you beg you to quit,
Hear how lied and said you'd commit.
open your mind so that you may know,
Know that we meant to not be below,
Know that we cared enough to help out,
Know you had nothing to worry about.
I 'll open your eyes so that you may see,
see how your life would have had guarantee.
I'll open your ears so that you may hear,
Hear me say that that promise disapeared.
I'll open your mind so that you may know,
Know that my love continues to grow.
I'll open your world so that you may find,
Find your way out of somebody else's mind.
Don't open your mouth to say another bluff,
Because we all know that words aren't enough.
