About English language I have the same problem, but I've found out that podcasts can improve listening skill as well as the speaking skill. Try! You need only an mp3 player such as ipod nano or classic where you can display even the text inserted in the audio file (actually only in the mp3 files).
Trust me. You can also download the podcasts video from the CNN, the Washington Post, the Englishbite (australian site), the BBC (this one is wonderful 'cause it's well organized from beginner to advanced learner's). Success it will come soon :-)
