One way of creating new words is to borrow or take from other languages.

English has been taking  words from  :

Latin. Greek,Frensh, Spanish,Arabic and Chinies….etc. Here some Arabic words:

Algebra ,Zero ,Alchemy Alcohol, Sugar,Cotton,  Coffee, Hakim,Jasimen, Magazine ,guide, racket , march, Tarif,,,,

Arsenal,orange,Jar,Apricot,Lemonade osque,Musk ,and some others

Take your turn and post words which you know ..,,

I love the connections!  English is made of French, Latin, German, Celtic and a little of everything else.  For Arabic worlds, look out for that 'al' beginning.  Alchemy is one of my favourites.

Borrowing words isn't bad. You haven't word in your language you borrow. That is cool! Bath, what if you have word in your language? You borrow and then you have two words. Two words for same thing. Your children will hate you! They mast learn more words!

u are right .to tell the same thing with two different words seems to be superfluous, but u can think in that way if u use the same words perpetually,u can be bored of this process.to generate words can be enjoyable and u can develop  your memory thanks to word addition even for the same expression. thx for your comment to legolas
