Oh, I like italian food, it's so tasty espesially pizza, salads, lazagna, makaroni with souce :) classical russian is borsch, pelmeni (italian variant is raviolli), herring under a "fur coat" (a kind of a salad), potato with mashrooms & many others…

As for me and my acquaintances, that's not true. And I know that the majourity of Russians don't do it.  They eat it only on holidays ;)

I think every person have opinion about international food, I mean stereotipes. UK- tea and oatmeal, US- burgers, Mexico – chili, tacos and etc. But most of that is delusion or just small part of food culture. So, salmon with caviar is just stereotipe!
