AS IS or AS IT IS

Any difference between 'AS IS' and 'AS IT IS'? I am asking this, because I used one expression in my job email, "it is highly appreciated that you can accept it as is.", and one of coworkers pointed out, I should say "accept it as it is". I looked up dictionary, but still not so sure about the exact difference between AS IS and AS IT IS

Anyone can help to clarify? thanks in advance. Take care, be well….

"As Is" is an acceptable and common term that refers to the status of something at this moment in time. It does imply "as it is" in every situation I can think of it being used. "AS IS" is the term used often to sell a previously used or possibly damaged item. For example, if something were shipped "as is", it states that the item is not guaranteed as if it were new and working condition. If there was insurance, it would probably not be for damage, it would be only for loss in transit.

Mine is not the final or official opinion. Let's hear from some others…
