Michael Moore is at it again. This time, he's taking on the problem of health care in the United States. His new film, "Sicko" debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in France last week, and received a standing ovation by its first audience.
The theme of "Sicko" is America's failing public health system. While health care in America can be good (if you have health insurance), more than 40 million Americans do not have health care. This is very embarrassing for America, which is the richest country on Earth.
Moore is no stranger to controversy. His two most recent films, "Fahrenheit 911" and "Bowling For Columbine" confronted the War on Terror and gun violence in America. Generally, Moore is loved by liberals in America and hated by conservatives, who believe he's a troublemaker. Still, even some liberals believe Moore is more interested in publicity and being famous than actually making a difference. It is rumored that Moore was paid a whopping 20 million dollars to make "Sicko." Imagine how many people could go to the doctor with 20 million bucks!
