Can you tell me about the most interesting and unusual tradition of your country? I want to know different cultures.

        So, who begins?Smile

P.S. I'm sorry if someone has already posted such topic.

I don´t know if you have heard about "Día de los muertos" (Literally would be "Day of the dead").

Don´t be scared. It´s not a zombie day, hahaha! It´s the day when people remember the family members who passed away. 1st of November we celebrate our children that passed away, and 2nd of November the adults.

Usually the family put an altar with the favorite food and drinks and candy, because they believe in these days the spirits of the dead people visit their families and "eat" the esence of the food. It´s not a sad celebration, in fact there are an amazing celebrations, most of the times in rural communities.

Konul good topic, thanx. I think all our Nowrooz (muslim new year) traditions are admiring. Hoping on the the fire, eavesdropping, funny fortune tellings with the candles, the girls guessing when they'll marry with their shoes… they're so many.

Also we have intersting wedding traditions. For ex, the bride's breakin' the plate when she enters the groom's house.
