spring celebration!

we are near to spring and we celebrate it greatly in Iran!

i love spring and NORUZ in Iran!we have so many great cultures about it!do u khow them?!

tell about celebrating springin your country!

In Poland we burn or drown Marzanna on 21. March. Marzanna is a symbol of death and winter in slavic pagan believes.

P.S. Mostly kids at schools do it and no… we don't wear those folk clothes everyday.

I didn't know other countries celebrate 21.March too!

We start spring cleaning a month before Noruz.We usually buy new cloth and make ourselves ready for a great feast cause it's new year celebration. 

Spring celebration

Where I was born at the beginnig of May a spring celebration takes place. The day is celebrated for welcoming spring. The day before, chestnuts are cooked, milkdesserts are prepared. Mainly scallions are harvested or bought as a sign of spring. At the celebration morning, eggs are cooked in onionskin so that the eggs get another colour. Several meals are prepared freshly. People go outside into the nature mainly to rivers. Some go into the water, some other get ready what they have brought from home, and they eat together, like a picnic.

We celebrate it in 21 MArch :))

Kurdiish ppl call it >> Newroz! (starting of freedom)   :)

It is a historical and culturel festival… But it is celebreted in starting of Spring..

so its other name is Spring Festival :)

Hi guys :D Thank u rghaffari for ur great forum, I wanted to make one about Nowruz but u make it with an other new idea^_.

 ok, celebrating Nowruz is an ancient costum in Iran & also in some Asian countries like Tajikestan,.. It exactly starts in the first day of spring & people here goest to their relatives house for greeting it & elders give gifts (speacially money) to youngers. we spread Haftseen ( Haftseen means 7 s which includes 7 things which start with the alphabet s of course in persian) that u can see in below pic
