Whitney Houston has long been one of the top-rated singers, releasing her debut album in 1985. Her success continued in the nineties with the fame of the hit I Will Always Love You from the movie The Bodyguard, which co-starred Kevin Costner.

In fact, she married Bobby Brown the same year that movie came out, in 1992. Lately, the couple has been in the tabloids, with rumors of drug abuse and even domestic violence. Last month, Whitney filed for divorce.

Logan: What’s the deal with Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston?

Amanda: It’s crazy because they have… They’re probably one of the most dysfunctional, unhealthy couples that I know, but you know what? They learn to make it work that way. They made a… They learn to make wrong work.

Logan: It’s seems like it. Every time I see her in the news, he looks a little bit out of it, but she looks like she just went through a washer and dryer. She is just done for.

Amanda: Well the hard thing is they’ve both admitted to doing drugs. They enjoy it. They enjoy the party. And they’ve both admitted to being addicted to one another. And as she said she can’t stop making the sweet love. So, that’s why they haven’t separated until now. They couldn’t walk away. They were completely co-dependent.

Logan: So they’re not getting divorced yet. They’re just away from each other.

Amanda: She supposedly dropped the bomb and separated, but, you know, she’s admitted herself, she’s addicted to her Bobby.

Logan: Don’t they have kids?

Amanda: They have one child named Bobbi Kristina. She’s 13 or so.

Logan: I feel really bad for that child.

Amanda: I feel horrible for that child because her childhood has been horrible. It’s been a nightmare, a living nightmare.

All we are humans! All we have our own sins and errors. So, we can’t judge Whitney for her sins and errors. We just can and must love her for really amazing voice and great talant. And now we must be just grateful for her songs and be sad about her. Because her life has broken too early.

Yes, I'm a fan of Whitney Houston, I have her CD albums, she got the best power voice once. But her voice getting worse lately as well as her performance. I feel so sorry for her. I don't know what the deal is with her marriage, they love each other but they don't know how to manage and maintain it.
