How come the front door is open? Didn't you close it before we went shopping?

I'm sure I did. I can't understand it.

Frankly, I smell a rat.

Me, too. I'm convinced that something is definitely wrong here.

We'd better call the police.

Smell a Rat = (feel that something is wrong)

"Rat" is also  a student; esp. a freshman or new student."Of all the cadets, the "rats" of the entering class have the roughest time." Virginia Military Institute use.

In Brazil, the freshmen of any Military Academy are called "bichos", or "animals"(=animals); not "rats".

My dear. I'm not a teacher at EBaby. This idiom was posted by someone else.

I asked to be a teacher too, but they refused me.

So, let's continue to be pupils.

Knowledge is made up by the curiosity of pupils, not teatchers'...
