I just have no need for the literal names of such grammar forms. more important is to know how to use the grammar properly. Less important is to know what the grammatical term is named.

 No relation between "Particles" and "participles"

 Particle : in grammar mean a adverb or a preposition that can combine with a verb to make a phrasal verbFor instance “ she tore UP the letter”The word UP is a particle.

 Participle : a form of the verb in the ending  id it’s ing or ed or en ect
