Definition

1. Definition - Study the definition.

overachieving is trying harder than other people to attain the best results

2. Use - Learn how the slang is used.

Usually when people use the word overachieving, they are talking about the work that someone puts in to attain a goal. People who overachieve are called overachievers.
There are overachievers everywhere. An overachiever at work is always going out of their way to be the best. Overachieving at school is always doing the extra work that the teacher assigns.
It’s ironic that Julia Roberts uses this word to describe her pregnancy because she didn’t really have to do anything to have twins. That’s why it’s kind of funny that she says it was classic overachieving.
