i was soooooo bored cos i watched a very boring movie .
i am ''bored'' but the movie is ''boring''
bored is an adjective that describes when someone feels tired and unhappy because something is not interesting or because they have nothing to do.
For example: She was so bored that she fell asleep.
boring is an adjective that means something is not interesting or exciting.
For example: The lesson was so boring that she fell asleep.
!Note Most verbs which express emotions, such as to bore , may use either the present or the past participle as an adjective, but the meaning of the participles is often different.

..wow thanks alot that u like the lesson.. The movie was the cause of my emotion, so it is described with an -ing form. My emotion, the result, is described with an -ed form. the lecture interested me the lecture was interesting i was interested the game excited me the game was exciting i was excited his love captivated me his love is captivating i was captivated challenging goal….... i am threatened … i was frightened monster is frightening

We can also see that things can only be described with the -ing form because things cannot have emotions. People, on the other hand, can be described with either -ing or -ed forms because they can produce emotions in other people or experience emotions themselves.

. This book is so interesting (so I am interested in the book). My boyfriend has a very annoying habit (so I am annoyed). English usage can be confusing (so a lot of students are confused). My husband's job promotion was surprising (so we were very surprised). The baseball game between the Giants and the Tigers was exciting (so the fans were excited).
