What do you do you when you’ve been rejected by someone in your clique? Naturally, you have to hide out for a while.

Jason is hanging out with Beren on the stoop, you know, talking, trying to forget about how Amanda rejected him, when he gets a text. Guess who it’s from?

Jason: Dude, I can’t get Soulja Boy out of my head, which is really weird considering that it’s not even a song that has a melody.

Beren: There’s no melody. Like, he’s not even singing, really.

Jason: It’s really weird. Oh, it’s a text from Amanda!

Beren: Oh really?

Jason: Yeah.

Beren: What’s it say?

Jason: She wants to hang out. She wants to see a movie.

Beren: Alright. Are you gonna do it?

Jason: Uh, I think I better not. I think I better just wait until I’m kinda over it. I mean, I’d love to be friends with her, but I just feel like I still like her, she’s dating my friend, it’s probably a bad idea to hang out with her…

Beren: That’s weird. But it’s also strange that she’d be texting you knowing…I mean, obviously, she knows that you still like her, right?

Jason: Yeah.

Beren: So why would she be texting you if she wasn’t interested in something?

Jason: Well, that’s an even better point because I certainly don’t want to be hanging out with her in that case...

Beren: You don’t want to get in the mix?

Jason: I don’t want to deal with any drama, so…

Beren: Weird. I think you should text her back.

Jason: Yeah, I’m gonna have to, it’s just a question of what I’m gonna say, you know?

Jason and Beren are talking about music when he gets a text from Amanda. Apparently, Amanda wasn’t joking when she said she was going to call Jason after her and Mason’s fight (and their follow up fight last week). She asked Jason if he wants to see a movie.

Assuming that Amanda wants to just hang out as friends, Jason tells Beren he’d love to be friends with Amanda, but he should probably a while until he’s over her.

But it’s not so clear to Beren that Amanda does just want to be friends with Jason. Amanda knows Jason likes her. Why would she contact him if she hadn’t had a change of heart?

Jason decides that he has to text Amanda back, but he’s not sure what he’ll say. What would you tell her? What do you think she wants?

It's sort of doubt to think she want to hang out with Jason like friends. Probably she just want to get a good time with Jason.I would wait for a time or just send a message to explain that is not a good time to hang out knowing she's hanging out with a friend of mine.
