Halle Berry thinks that not all relationships are meant to go the distance. But just how long a distance is she talking about? Maybe some relationships only make it as far as a first date. Others last for a year or two. Some make it all the way down the aisle, but still fall short in the end. With half of marriages in the U.S. ending in divorce, not that many relationships last forever, or go the distance.

When we say that something goes the distance, we aren’t talking about a real, measurable length of space. The distance isn’t one mile, or two, or ten. To go the distance means to go all the way, or continue until something is finished, no matter how difficult it becomes. If you go the distance at school, you study hard and do as well as you can until you graduate. And if you go the distance in a relationship, you work through every problem that arises, and never break up.

I would have to say that it kind of depends really. If it's a comfortable relationship then it's possibly that you should keep on. Whereas in contrast if it becomes a burden for you then it's more likely you should put an end to it and start looking for something that suits you.
