Going to the dentist can be scary. Especially if you have to speak in another language. However, American dentists are very good. If you know the right words and phrases, your experience will be easier.
Dialog

There are many reasons to visit the dentist. Here are a few:
1. have your teeth cleaned
2. get a check-up
3. get a filling
4. get a root canal
5. have your wisdom teeth pulled
When you are at the dentist, you may have the following things done:
1. have your teeth flossed
2. have x-rays taken
3. be given flouride
4. be given a shot
The dentist and the assistant might use the following tools:
1. floss
2. x-ray machine
3. toothbrush
4. drill
5. needle (ouch!)
You might talk about these parts of your mouth:
1. molars
2. wisdom teeth
3. gums
4. tongue
And the best phrase to know for the dentist?
“OUCH! That hurts!”
