It’s finally here. The sequel that everyone has been waiting for is reaching “the big screen” in US theaters on November 22. You may be jazzed and you may be skeptical, but if you are a fan of Katniss, Peeta and Gale, you are probably planning to wait as long as it takes to get a seat for this movie.

In this second book by writer Suzanne Collins, Katniss and Peeta find themselves in the arena again. It’s a dangerous world for two young people, but they’re strong and will do whatever they need to do to stay alive. Will President Snow get what he wants and have the teenagers killed? There’s only one way to find out.

Read more to learn Lily and Marni’s opinions about this famous and popular movie.

Lily:  Marni, I am so jazzed about the new Hunger Games movie!

Marni:  Oh, really?

Lily:  Yeah! Aren’t you excited?

Marni:  I have to admit I’m a little skeptical about sequels. The first movie was OK. I didn’t really think it did the book justice. But sequels, sometimes, they just don’t live up to the original.

Lily:  I understand. It makes sense to be kind of skeptical about different series, especially because you’re worried if the next movie’s going to top it, or if it’s just going to be sort of subpar. But I am so excited. I saw the trailer, and there’s so much archery. Oh my god! I’m so excited!

Marni:  Well, maybe your excitement will catch on. I mean, I did really like the second book. I thought Catching Fire was really interesting, and I’m going to be curious to see how they filmed all of those scenes.

Lily:  Totally.

Marni:  So, all right. I’ll go.

Lily is incredibly excited for the new movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. She loves the books and can’t wait to see how the second one looks as a film. The trailer looks really good, and it includes archery, and that’s good enough for Lily.

Marni is more skeptical about sequels, so she’s not sure how excited she feels about this movie. Marni feels like the first movie wasn’t as good as the book, so she wonders if that will be true for this movie, too. In the end, Lily is so jazzed that she convinces Marni to join her.

Are you looking forward to the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire? Who is your favorite character, and why?

For me it was quite predictable. No more Hunger Games, they’re broken. And now we’re gonna watch the real life bloody game with the revolutioners at the head and Mocking bird as the inciter.

I watched the movie a couple of days ago, and I loved it! I read The Hunger Games trilogy, and was so excited when I found out that the sequel is coming to the cinemas.

As for the movie, it was very interesting, and there was absolutely no time to be bored.. The only thing I didn’t like was how the movie ended. I guess the producers’ intention was to keep us on our toes until the next sequel! :D

Yesterday I watched the second sequel of Hunger Games. Well even though the rating for the movie was rather high, I expected more from the movie. The biginning when they were paying tribute to the districts was quite boring. Everything was the same as in the first movie, but with many questions unanswered, like why the chief gamemaker kept on saying to give that treacherous clock more spin to make Katness fly into the water and then turned out to be on her side at the end of the movie. At the end on the movie he, Haymitch, and the other guy from the game turned out to be one sweet company and at the head of the revolution??

How one of the contestants, old Lady, got to the clock centre, if she couldn’t walk at all. She was totally out of the league to compare with those musle bristling guys.

And how Gale got onto the plane at the end of the movie?

I can’t wait the movie release. It will start at the end of November. I’m confused now – to read the book or to watch the movie. The book prevails, but how words can do justice to the experience that can be only enjoyed in a good movie. So, we’ll see. I hope there won’t be too much killings there.
