Hello again everyone.

A few more days have passed and the school is nearly ready!

Bought tables, chairs, whiteboards, front desk, a/c, and the whole lot of all other bits and bobs needed for a school. Tomorrow, I'm going to buy a desktop computer and finally order my books, which by the way, I've chosen to be all from Cambridge University Press, but in the future I'll add some from Oxford too.

Doors will open February 1st, one week before Spring Festival, which gives me time to say to all people that this is probably the most exciting moment of my life so far!

In addiiton to that, I also want to say that if there are any students on this website that live in Zoucheng, then this is the almost perfect school choice for you!
Cheap winter deals that will help you revise your learnings, improve your English skills and of course, give a more fluent aproach on English speaking through myself! 100% English speaking class. This alone, will provide you with a realistic-like experience, if you think you want to go and study abroad, then I will surely help you getting ready!

As promised, a photo of the school will be added on my profile, since I'm having trouble attaching it here.

By the way, my Chinese name is 古熙文, so the school's name has a relation to myself as you can see, and not only that, it also sounds like Good (gu de) English (ying yu).

With no further words to say now,

thank you for reading!

Feel free to comment!

Hello everyone!

I'm very new at this, but I've read a few, so I'm going to give it a try.

My name is Emanuel, I'm 29 and teach English as a second language in China, and I've just started my own business in Shandong Province. Well, in fact, I've only got the place and it's now getting fixed up.

As a first blog, and very first page, I want to ask to all you readers for a favour,

If any of you is also a teacher (or has been teaching in China previously) what books do you think are the best to buy and use? I'm familiar with some such as New Concept English; Speak Up; Interchange... but I'm a little fed up with them, since they bring me some bad memories of some previous bad employers, so I'm looking for a new look. The books are all fine and I have nothing against them, but if I can avoid using the very same books EVERY OTHER SCHOOL uses, then I will!

My school isn't big yet, but the space is quite confortable and the theme is quite pleasant too. In the next blog pages, I will include some photos of my school and that, hopefully might encourage more foreign teachers to develop their own schools abroad, rather than working always for themselves. This is not a question of making money, but if any of you has worked abroad, you will all agree that having different cultures and habits might be very very hard to deal with certain aspects of life and our own employers might also not be very helpful (like my own former employers). Of course, if you donnot have plans to stay where you are working, you can always sell it to someone else!

The total space of the school withtin a year will be of around 400 square meters and that meets my satisfaction. I will try to have the big opening before Spring Festival, however, it's not looking that way.

Anyhow, I will be very grateful to any of you that might have suggestions for me.

So until I get some replies, add me up
