One fine morning a cock sat on the top branch of a tree in the forest. He was so happy that he crowed several times .A fox who was very hungry heard him. She came up to the street and looked up . The Cock was very high up and the fox could not get at him. So she said in a steew voice:'' Good morning my friend . Iam very glad to see you but it is inconvent to talk to you , because you are so far up .Come down and we shall have nice talk 

 Good morning , said the cock .I am also very glad to see yo , and I am sure that you are my true friend . But I don't think that it is safe for me to come down , because there are other beasts there . And what will happen to me if one of them catches me?

OH dear, cried the shy fox . Don't you know the news ? peace was proclaimed two days ago between all kinds of birds and beasts . Now we shall live in love and harmony . There is no danger for any bird or animal in forest now . Come down and we shall talk about it . but the cock did not pay any attention to what the fox said.He streched out his neck as if he had seen something in distance  

 "Friend, " said the fox , what can you see over there ? What areyou looking at  ? i see some dogs in the field . I think they are coming here , said the cock

Oh cried the fox . I had forgotten . I have to go now . I am in a hurry

" No, my dear friend" said the cock" said the cock "don't" go away .I am sure you arenot afriad of thedogs now , when peace has been proclaimed and there is no danger in the forest for anybody.

Yes, of course , said the fox , but I am afaid that dogs do not know yet the peace has been proclaimed between all birds and animals
