An Old Woman

She is a little old woman walking slowing before me. I think she had a mane of white hair even though I can't see her clearly under the dim streetlight. She had a huge bag on her left shoulder and a metal bowl in her right hand. 

Where will she go? She is so old a woman, she should be a mother, has her own children and now also she must be a grandmother. But why is she here, and begging in the street? She is so old and frail, she should be at home and play with her grandchild. Why?

I used to encounter a woman likes her, but when she came up to me with her bowl, I just passed by. I felt regret for a long time.   I don't know if the woman walking before me is the one I met before. But I can do nothing, I know now I have some money in my bag, if she just turn to me, I would give her some money. I hear some people laughing loudly in front of the bakery, they are playing cards.

 When the old woman passing the bakery, the light lights on her face through the glass door of the bakery. The wrinkled face turns slightly toward the laughing people and then walk into the dim.
