China

January 22, 2007

I felt reassured with my Dad's banging the door with shut. He was tired, I was told from his worn-out eyes. He was cold after he stood in the strait room working out an operation for several hours. He is a doctor, owning a private clinic in the small county. He is a good doctor for he treats people in need with the most patience. He smiles, always, and listens to them describing their full story. Anyhow, my family and I don't enjoy the same. He seldom smiles at home. The most usual scene is that he teaches us four gravely the table-manner when we eat together. I don't see it's much useful since what he said is all out of fashion. We no longer sit together to eat in a small table, nor do we have limited to eat. Those are no longer a problem bothering us. There is a great invisible gap between us. He is short-tempered, and that’s the main reason for his suffering high blood pressure. We communicate little everyday for the sake of not to touch a nerve of his disaffection. He does everything according to his own will, he is traditional Chinese man. Though we don’t one hundred percent agree with him, the undeniable truth is that he is my father and, I love him.
