Yuki P'UNK

Japan

September 20, 2009

I belong to an English communyty at my university, and I had a picnic with my friends as a volunteer to be friendly with some international students at my school. They are from Australia, Korea, Britain, Malaysia. I was surprised that their Japanese is very nice!! We went to a riverside.

First, we made sandwiches, and we enjoyed them. After that, we played some game, 'the wink killer', 'the mafia', and 'the samba and mambo'. 'The wink killer' and 'the mafia' are our favorite which we learned from our American friends when we had stayed in America. All of us really enjoyed these three games.

After that, we played 'doro-kei' tag. It's one of popular tag in Japan. In this case, 'doro' means thieves, and 'kei' means  police. First, we separate into thieves and police. Of course, police have to catch thieves. If a thief is catched by police, the thief has to go a prison. But if another thief touch the person, the person will run away. When police catch all of thieves, the game is finished.

I felt tired because of lack of exercise.lol But we enjoyed very much!!

Then we had some snack. And we write 'senryu'. It's a Japanese poem.

I enjoyed the picnic, and I'm really happy to be friendly with friends from different countries. Of course, Japanese friends too!lol
