Waving at and greeting new friends is to me like meeting new waves - some come, simply giving us a little friendly wave of the hand, as an ocean wave playfully splashing against the bow of a ship only to pass and continue on to where ever it is that waves go.

Yet other "wavers" may hit hard against our sides, causing us at times to want to spill over.

Friends come in all shapes, colors, and sizes, all having different manners of waving, having different impacts on our lives.

It is up to each one of us to decide what to do with each “impact” - with each passing wave.
