Many people believe that we see with our eyes.  The truth is, we all see with our brains.  So what we see is actually a mental perception. If I see 'ugly,' it was a willed perception.  If on the other hand I look and see nothing but 'beauty' that too was due to a willed perception of 'seeing' what I willed to see - in this case - beauty.
