I have learned that even if you know that something is sound, and that you are giving your family or friend the 'best' deal, having their best interests in mind,  that somehow it always seems to come back and haunt you - even with the best of intentions.  My advice would be to just give a family member something instead of trying to do 'business with him or her.  I mean even if you ´give' a family member a 'good' deal, you are in a way treating that family member as a client.  Family members to me should never be 'clients.'  My humble opinion.  I have learned that even if you know that something is sound, and that you are giving your family or friend the 'best' deal, that somehow it always seems to come back and haunt you.  My advice would be to just give a family member something instead of trying to do 'business with him or her.  I mean even if you ´give' a family member a 'good' deal, you are in a way treating that family member as a client.  Family members to me should never be 'clients.'  My humble opinion.

Yeah, I would think twice as well selling something to a relative or a friend as long as it's in good condition. Why not. Can be a bargain!

Yes, I have always been warned about doing business with friends and especially with family members.  But it seems as though I will never learn from the proven math.  :)

Handwriter a good definition! If the used car all of a sudden stalls on a hightway, you call your friend, "Hey, you sold me a lemon, but still you're my best buddy!" ;)

A sign of true friendship is where one friend can sell his used car to the other and they are able to remain friends long after the sale.
