You mentioned "stereotypes". We have hate in this world because we try to separate ourselves into nationalities instead of just being all people.

No, I believe that 'religion' is exactly the subject.  I believe that religion gone astray—left in the hands of selfish, egotistic, and barbaric humans—is a force that attempts—and does—cripple and destroy world-unity.  Anything that is outside compassion, understanding, honesty, and just plain old common sense is anything but religion.

Yes, I agree—history is as much a part of us as is our present and our futures—as it should be.  When I speak of being first human before I consider my nationality or the nationality of anyone else is that I do not qualify or justify or grade a person based on his/her nationality.  My mother was a Jew; my father was a German-Catholic, and both were very proud of their individual uniqueness. Having said that, no one chose his or her nationality—as no one chose his or her genetic code—no one’s nationality was earned—a having a nationality is not a merit, quality or value—however, being a human is.  Again, as always, this is only my humble opinion.

Nationalities  say about your ancestors and it's human not to forget them, respect their past, learn a lesson and move on. Nationality has been formed with years by years. The history, the wars, the lifestyle has been gradually forming a nationality. So, it's not that bad to keep that in mind in trying understand the other people. What is human to you, might not be human to them. Cultures, traditions shouldn't be forgotton as well.
