A SNEEZE FOR MY BIRTHDAY

You know that feeling you get when you want to sneeze, but can’t—you even try to get yourself to sneeze maybe by breathing up through your nose with quick puffs of air—then…then when you finally sneeze it’s such a wonderful sense of relief.  Well, this was the same feeling I was experiencing when I was expecting you and your family here for my birthday.  I had wanted you here, but the anticipation was nearly unbearable.  The truth is, I really wasn’t sure that I wanted you here—I mean, yes, I love you and your family dearly, but I knew too that when you came that it would again be like a long awaited sneeze before seeing you again—you would leave me—as last time—wanting to sneeze for an entire year before being able to sneeze again when you returned to visit me again on my next birthday.

Anyway, I love you all--you know this, so I will hold my sneeze until next year when I hope to sneeze again at your next visit.  "Salud!"
