This life has been, without a doubt, one of the most riveting, thought-provoking, and most genuinely best lives that I could have ever imagined having. Sure, it’s had its share of lows, disappoints, and setbacks, but these are some reasons why this life has been so exciting. At times hauntingly beautiful, while at other times, life has been so humorously ugly.
I have truly been blessed by the self-sacrifice of others; I’ve seen people of unyielding courage in the face of unspeakable difficulties—people who have chosen to use their time here on earth in the cause of making a difference for others.
Where nature may be prone to encourage selfishness, lust, greed, etc., I have seen and have been affected by the best acts of kindness.
Many people—“saints”—have and are walking the face of this life—saints of small and fragile souls themselves who have risen up from the deep well of self-pity that surrounds them—saints who have fought and are fighting still against seemly unbeatable giants of terror, pain, and oppression—saints whose souls were all eventually and will be beaten into their graves with bent backs from the abuse of these swift and merciless maggots of power and wealth—but yet they, these saints of love and compassion, stayed and are staying firm in their convictions—convictions of justice and fairness.
What a poignant tale it has been and will be—what a thoughtful and heart-tugging reminder we all should have and keep of these world-weary giants—not giants of physical stature, fame, or wealth, but rather, giants of spirit.
My mind lies immersed in gratefulness and honor for these brave men and women—men and women who while living were and are surrounded in deep cesspools of inhumanities, complacency, and apathy have remained and will remain human—human, not animals.
