There are some who will laugh in your face behind your back and then stab you in your back in front of your face while leaving you about-faced and razor-backed.

“A weak attempt…” No, actually, I found it quite witty and charming—once I understood the irony of it.  It’s just that humor and what is or isn’t funny may be a cultural thing.  I am sure that there are those in any culture who may find humor in everything—no matter what, but traditionally, I am sure that culture plays a big part in what may tickle the bones of a people—in general.

Now, I am no humor expert—to be sure, so I will not attempt to analyze it here.

As for my use of “razor-backed”—with a hyphen, I found it when looking for a word that had something to do with being cut or stabbed in one’s back.  The “about-faced” was found in the same manner.

Having done some “Googling”, I have learned the difference between “razor-backed”—with a hyphen, and your one-worded “razorback”, and with that, I found some information about your “Go Hogs”.

It seems impossible for me to go a day without learning something new—what a blessing.  Thanks for taking the time to share.

It's something that kids learn when they are about 8 and then say to each other. When you're 8 it's funny. You mention "razorback". The University of Arkansas Razorbacks are cheered with the phrase "go hogs". I was just adding opposite phrases like yours. A weak attempt at humor.

To be honest, I had to use a translator to understand that one.  But I now understand the concept.  Seems a bit starnge even now, but I guess that this is a form of western humor.  One problem was that I couldn't figure out if it was a an actual true story, or if it was a riddle or puzzle.

Also, who or what are the "hogs"?  And...  Well, what do you mean, "Go hogs"?

One fine morning in the middle of the night, two dead men got up to fight. Back to back they faced each other, they drew their swords and shot one another.  A deaf policeman heard the noise and came and arrested the two dead boys.

Go Hogs.
