Thanks for the encouragement, but truly, I am doing this for selfish reasons—I want to learn, and by these postings, I learn so much more than I otherwise would by simply reading from a book.  Now, if someone can benefit from these postings—well, that would be all the sweeter.  :)

Remember that the infinitive form of a verb is NOT a verb—it may be a noun or an adjective such as a gerund (those –ing words—eating [without the verb –be]).  I will explain later as we proceed—but note that I colored the infinitives blue—to eat.

Note: I should have capitalized the "S" in the German personal pronoun "Sie".  In English, the personal pronoun, "I" is always written with a capital letter.  In German, the formal pronoun "you" is always written with a capital "S"—Sie.
