I don't particularly like the last part-- the part about being brokenhearted should someone leave me. It all sounds too cliché and infantile. No one likes to be... Or rather, no one likes the feelings of being rejected, but these feelings, no matter how gloomy or desperate they may feel, they pass within the time that it takes for a broken bone to heal-- give or take six weeks.

So as I said, this is a work in progress. I woke up with this idea of expressing my thoughts about how it's not any single part that gets broken, but rather, it's the whole substance of a thing that gets hurt and broken. It's not about any one individual, limb, or section--it's about the whole--such as the whole of a country, family, relationship, etc.
