 I told sally it was foolish to marry that man.But it went in one ear and out the other,Now she wishes she’d listened to me,he drinks and gambles and she wants to leave him. 

How many times had I told you to get to work on time?but my words just go in one ear and out the other,so I don’t have any choice but fire you.” 

My father had told me it’s dangerous to get into this forest,but what he said just went in one ear and out the other to me,so now I have to face the dark and hunger before I was found. 

To play by ear

“no any special preparations before one thing starts,just handle it depand on the live curcumstances”

 I haven’t had a chance to prepare any notes so all I can do is start talking and play it by ear. 

I am not sure if my wife wants me to go shopping with her on Sunday,if she decides to go with her sister instead,then I can play tennis with you.Let’s play it by ear.” 

I don’t know if he would come to my concert or not this weekend,because he is very busy recently,let’s play it by ear.

中国专家称快速兴建导致低质校舍

Chinese expert says Building Boom may have led to weak schools.

中国负责调查四川大地震的一个专家小组负责人说，近年来，仓促兴建校舍可能是导致其中许多学校倒塌的原因。马宗晋今天(星期四)在北京举行的一次记者会上指出，许多学校都是近年新建的，一些可能没有达到建筑标准。

The head of a Chinese panel of experts investigating the country's massive Sichuan earthquake says a rush to build schools in recent years may be why so many of them collapsed. Speaking at a press conference today (Thursday) in Beijing, Ma Zongjin noted that a lot of schools were built in recent years and that some may have had substandard construction.

四川5月12号的大地震造成将近7万人死亡。政府说，大约7千座学校倒塌，成千上万的学生和教师丧生。

Sichuan's May 12th earthquake killed nearly 70-thousand people. The government says around seven-thousand schools collapsed, killing thousands of students and teachers.

众多学校的倒塌引发家长的强烈抗议。有关当局还没有公布在地震中死亡的学生人数。

The collapse of so many schools sparked an uproar from parents. Authorities have yet to say just how many children died during the quake.

中国表示，与伊拉克的石油服务协议还没有最后敲定，与伊拉克官员上星期的说法有出入。中国外交部今天(星期四)说，有关开发伊拉克首都巴格达以南阿赫代布油田协议与巴格达的谈判还在继续。

China says an oil services deal with Iraq is not yet complete, contradicting reports last week by Iraqi officials. China's Foreign Ministry said today (Thursday) that negotiations with Baghdad continue on a deal to develop the Adhab oil field south of the capital city.

这将是萨达姆.侯塞因2003年倒台以来，伊拉克与外国石油公司之间达成的最大一宗合同，总金额可能达30亿美元，时限为20年。

伊拉克说，根据协议，将向中国公司支付一笔定额现金，这也是可能是将来签订同类合同的模式。在有些合同中，石油生产国的支付方式是让石油公司保留部分开采出来的石油。
