' Have you ever been to a concert?

Well, as the title says, here are some things you must know if you're planning to go to one!

I hope you find this post useful and take advantage of it!

Remember: it doesn't matter the kind of music you like it. These tips refer to any kind of concert!

So, let's do it!

1- Wear comfortable clothes! Yes, this is the first tip! A lot of people like to wear nice clothes and, well... there ain't nothing wrong about this, but don't forget it: don't wear too many clothes or you're going to be hot, believe me!

Concerts are crowded! You barely can move your arm without bumping into somebody. And, because it's crowded, the environment will get hotter and hotter so if you wear heavy clothes, you'll probably sweat lot, feel hot and uncomfortable and, in most cases, feel sick and end up being removed!

If you're rocker and like wearing black clothes, that's okay too. But remember, try to wear a thin T-shirt!

You can take a jacket or something like it if you're cold when leaving your house, but when you arrive to the concert just tie it around you waist.

2- Arrive early at the venue! The sooner you arrive, the better! Otherwise, you're going to face a large line! And I'm not talking about thirty or fifty people in front of you... I'm talking about 3.000 or more! Not, I'm not exaggerating, I know it because it happened to me already! And don't forget it: if you arrive late you may be distant of the stage. Then, if you wanna a great sight of the band, arrive early!

3- Be careful with your belongings! I do not recommend bringing a lot of things to a concert. I don't even advise you bring your purse, backpack or wallet! It's very risky. So, try to bring as little as possible, just the necessary as: your ID, a cellphone, some money and, of course, the tickets! That's why I like wearing pants with several pockets, it's very helpful!

4- Don't drink too much and go to the toilet before the concert starts! Some people like drinking a lot of beer or soda, but don't do it! It's okay to drink something if you're thirsthy but don't overdo it! If you do, you'll have to go to the toilet every thirty minutes and I bet you don't want this because you may miss the best part! Oh, I almost forgot: if you drink too many alcoholic drinks you'll get drunk, get into a fight and that's not good!

Well, here are the tips I've promised! They are very simple, right? So you won't have difficulties in following them.

I'm back in black AND my 1st rock concert!

As that fabulous AC/DC song says: I'm back in black!

After a month without visint Ebaby, due to my entrance exams and stuff, I'm finally back! Now I have to catch up on my English studies and previous Ebaby lessons. But I'll get there!

Thank friends for being patience and not delete me! I didn't have time to answer your last messages, but I'll do it now!

Well, Let´s go to the heart of the matter!

Yesterday, November 31st... I went to my first rock concert! MAAAAAAN, it was RLY AMAZING! I have no words to describe it! It was just... WOOOW! To stand up there, watching your favorite band performing the most incredible concert you've seen it in your life... it's PRICELESS!!!

Maybe you're wondering what band I'm talkin' about, well... it couldn't be other but RAMMSTEIN! The HOTTEST band in the WORLD, literally 'cause they always use pyrotechnic effects during the concert! It's their trademark!

The band is out of this world! Rly! They're amazing, such talented guys! Their music is powerful, intense!

I do advise you to take a look at Rammstein's videos on youtube. You won't be sorry, I bet!

So, well... I think I'm going to keep on talking about this next post, not about the band (maybe some comments) but about a first concert in one's life! Actually, I'm going to give some tips, so... if you're planning to go to a concert as well, you should read it!

Wake me up when November ends...

Well, I think the title speaks for itself.

Tomorrow will be November 1st and I'm kinda nervous. Why?

Well, my college entrance examinations are taken in November, actually, every weekend in November. So it's going to me a hectic and stressful month. Besides, these exams are the most disputed in Brazil 'cause they belong to the most prestigious universities of the country.

I think 9 of every 10 students are going to take these exams to get into those universities and, believe me, the exams are damn difficult!

At school, students are starting to freak out (so do I)! We have so much subjects to study, so many topics to review and there are some lessons we haven't taken yet... I'm desperate, I need to confess! I don't wanna think about what's going to happen if I fail.

I know this is not a matter of life and death... I can take them next year, no prob. But, man, I don't wanna fail. Nobody wants! If I get into university this year things are going work so well. My dad won't have to pay my school anymore. You know, he has been complaining about it and this discourage me. I wish my dad was more supportive, comprehensible. Man, I've been going through a rough time but it seems my dad don't understand it. Maybe he haven't noticed how much his support means to me, I mean, I'd be more relaxed. And when I mean "relaxed" I don't mean "Oh, I'd take it easy, I wouldn't study that much and blablabla", of course not! I just wouldn't be so anxious and I'd have the feeling that my dad would be there for me in the end. But I don't know if he will... and this hurts the most.

So, as you can see, I'm going to be "absent" for a month. Maybe I show up to take a look at some lessons, I don't wanna be outdated! But I won't have time to reply messages, so my apologies friends. Please, be patient. I'll come back soon! Don't forget me, please!

Wow, I can't believe it. Today it's my 19th B-day.

I guess when people say that time flies in the blink of an eye, they really mean it!

I used to deslike my birthdays. No one likes growing old, but I don't think this was normal in my case, I mean... I was too young to hate birthdays and stuff like that. But, today it's different.

First of all: It's not raining today! Everybody used to mock me because it always rains on my birthday. But, different from other years, today the sun was beating down! It was a bright sunny day! Ok, now it's kinda cloudy, but at least it's not raining...! (not yet!)

I don't know why but today I've got this feeling, you know... I wanna do everything I've never done before! I wanna try something new, I wanna find myself! I'm searching for changes. I've been planning on doing a lot of things like starting new projects and finishing old ones.

Today I don't care about birthday presents or cakes. I just want to keep this feeling alive. I just wanna fight for my own happiness and feel that I can win. Well, maybe I'm finally starting to mature. It's a good thing, right?

So, that's all for today. I'm gonna kick back, maybe read something or take a nap. I have classes later, so I won't throw a party. haha

Were you born to lead or to follow?

Today, in class, our teacher made us this question and I'm still thinking about it.
Sometimes I wonder if successful leaders are people that were born to do it or if they are normal people who learned how to guide and motivate others. Being a leader isn't just bossing people around. It's more than this. In my opinion, being a leader is one of the most difficult tasks... maybe that's why whe don't have so much leaders in the world. Good ones, at least.
Leaders can't just give someone orders and then not to lift a finger to make something happens. There's nothing to do with being bossy, negligent and sometimes mean to his group's member. It also demands a lot of responsability, dedication...

... that's why I wanna become one.

I've never wanted to take responsability by someone else in my whole life, not because I'm selfish and laid-back (ok, I'm laid-back but this is not the reason) but maybe because I've always feared the consequences. If something doesn't work out, all the group is responsible for that but maybe not as much as the one who's leading them. But now, I think I want to face the consequences of my attitudes and choices. I should have done that before, I know it, but I've never felt ready for that... till now.
It seems I've always been following people, accepting everything without question... or not even try to assert myself. But things has changed and now I want to be at risk. I still have a lot of things to learn, some skills to develop as patience and optimism... but I'll try my best from now on.

Well... I think everyone should ask itself if it's time to stop following in order to start leading.

And, once you think you've reached all you need to be a leader, ask yourself another question: Would you like to be led by yourself? If your answer is "yes", then you probably have become a true leader.

Weird, weird laws!

Oh, I haven't been writing anything for a while. Actually, I wasn't in the mood. But now I'm back and I have some things weird enough to share with you, guys!

Have you ever thought about going to USA? I think every English learner have already thought about it. So, what state would you choose to live or spend a few days? Before you choose, I think you better check out some weird laws in some American states before... or you can end up in jail!

Nebraska:

"If a child burps during church, his parent may be arrested."

Illinois:

"You must contact the police before entering the city in an automobile."

New Jersey:

"It is against the law to “frown” at a police officer."

"You may not slurp your soup."

California:

"Bathhouses are against the law."

Alabama:

"Dominoes may not be played on Sunday."

"Masks may not be worn in public."

Tennessee:

"Stealing a horse is punishible by hanging."

It's raining cats and dogs!!!

No, not literally!

Actually this is an English expression, a old-fashioned expression.

So, "It's raining cats and dogs" is something that you say when it is raining heavily. Interesting and curious expression, huh? A bit funny too.

But, well... I can say: Today it's raining cats and dogs in Brazil! I woke up to the sound of thunders. Who needs an alarm clock when you got thunders, right? Now the sky is dark, the weather is cloudy and is kinda cold. And worst of all: I have to study today. I'm not up to date with my studies

In november, I'm going to take some important tests. It's like an "admission test". If I go well and get a good grade, I'll be able to study at good university. I don't know how it works in other countries, but here in Brazil there're great universites and most of them don't need students to pay the monthly fee, because they're financed by the government, and this makes everything even harder. I mean: a looot of people will take these tests. And they're very difficult. So I gotta do my best and study hard!

Oh, the rain has stopped! I haven't noticed! Well, good. I don't like rainy days.

Well, that's all 4 today, folks! :)

I hope you like this expression. Ah, from now on, I'll use this kind of letter when I use some new expressions and I'll put their definitions in the end of the post, so you won't need to look them up in the dictionary.

Expressions used 2day (today):

Old-fashioned: a word, expression or something not so used by people nowadays. Ex: a typewriter. Some people not even know what is a typewriter! So, typewriters aren't used anymore because nowadays whe use computer/laptops/notebooks/Ipad/etc; that's why they're old-fashioned.
Be up to date with...: It means you have done all your tasks/chores, you have done they when you needed to, so you don't have to worry about them and you can relax and do other things. Ex:Anna is up to date with her homework, that's why she can play with her toys all day long.

Nobody forgets the first post...!

Well, I won't forget, at least.

Not because I have something special to talk about it (actually I don't have anything in mind :D) but because I think I made a mistake and now my blog will be called "My Blog" (as you can see) 'cause I forgot to change the name! LOL

But it's okay... actually I always wanted to have a blog with this name! (Who am I tryin' to fool? I suck!)

Soooo, as I already written above, I have nothing special to talk about it. Maybe I should go to bed, cause I'm getting sleepy and I have to wake up early tomorrow.
