Japan

We Japanese are in habit of bringing lunch called "Obento." I've heard in some countries people don't like this cusom because those lunches are not hot and they don't feel delicious.

For my opinion, bringing lunch means mothers' (or wives') love. They wake up early morning to prepare lunch and even if lunch is cold we can feel warm love in it. Plus, more people enjoy making fancy lunch these days. They can make animation characters by rice ball easily and contests people compete how delicate and fun their luches are is held. Some critic point out colored rice look not good though.

Actually, I made lunch for me to save money instead of buying lunch last week. For a couple of days I enjoyed making, but ended up choosing sleep time in place of cooking time. I think spontaneous behavior with such a pain job is true love.
