I like Aldous Huxley very much, though I’ve read only his “Counterpoint” I I would like to read more, but I have not found him In English. Do you like Huxley? If yes. What is your favorite work then? Concerning passing exams there is some saying in Russia “ the fools are lucky”I’ve experienced it myself. When I was 18 and studied at the University I was asked to be an interpreter for some American tourist. Unfortunately his staying in Russia coincided with my examination. So I knew nothing.exept the one question that we had studied at the seminar and the other question in examination cards was related to my essay on this subject. So my examination card had two those questions  So I got an excellent mark without getting ready to exam.Wink

Dear Agnolia,

I like Aldous Huxley's the most :)

Somehow, I think it reminds me of whom had became now me, and who I would like to be.

For the second question,

Umm.., Actually, I'm quite a coward, since I was a child.

Even now, I can't see horror movies at all.

Lets say that I'm fearful for violence and horror very much.  But, somehow, I don't think I'm superstitious.

Even when I'm being fear of something. I rather rely on my own instinct..and my intuition.

there is someone I knew when I was in college, she really believes in magic power. Like, when she was going to take an exam, she had to find out what is the powerful color for her on that day. She must wear cloths in that certain color, also she had to know the magic number of that day (like powerful number for her on that day is 7, she will do things with number 7 as much as possible). Before the day of the exam, she would go to some holy spiritual place to ask for guarantee of her success and promise to give something in return afterward. Sometime, she will promise to stop eating meat for a month, or promise to give 100 boiled eggs to the holy spirit!, sometime, promise to run around a rugby field for 100 rounds, and etc. Laughing

Somehow, she mostly succeeded, and it's fun to see her do the thing she had promised :D

To be superstitious is not very good.

As for me I cannot get rid of some of them. For example if I leave anything at home. I return home to take the thing and look in the mirror not to be unlucky. What about you ? are you free of all that prejudice? If you are free. Maybe you tell me one of superstition in your country more interesting?

Jadd! really very encouraging saying.

I d like to add one more coz it;s very similar to the way of thinking of Oldos Huxly

"Education is what remains when we have forgotten all that we have been taught"
