This next September 26th, Venezuela is going to make a new parliamentary election. In this opportunity, Venezuelans will choose 165 Deputies, two benches less that in the election of 2005, and also they will choose 12 Deputies for the Latin-American Parliament, it will allow renewing all members of the national assembly. Deputies who are elect, will assume his duty on January 5, 2011, and will remain in their assignments until January 5, 2016.

The election will be realized under the premise of the system of proportional personalized representation, according to the population base of 1, 1 % of total population of the country. In addition, federal entities will choose three Deputies, as well as also indigenous peoples, who have right to choose three representatives in three of their special circumscriptions. These have the responsibility of representing the people and the States in the national assembly.

The official party PSUV (propel it the president Hugo Chavez), seeks to retain a majority of the National Assembly, which they have dominated since past choice, in 2005, when opponent parties to Chavez boycotted the election, and many of them declined to take part, invoking " lack of electoral guarantees ".

This New electoral process, (AS THE PREVIOUS ONES), will be at the expense of the national electoral advice; Organ independent in the Venezuelan state. In addition, the process will be supervised by different political organizations and international organizations of different parts of the world, as: Union Nations, European Union, The Carter Center, as well as also, electoral organisms of different countries.
